| Well, now, the commissioners have really upped the ante for developers to break ground in Jeffco. Now we will pay only 75% of the costs associated with their paperwork instead of 85%. Mercy. Just when I start thinking something may be starting to go right, the folks at the Taj try to blow smoke in our ears. We are losing JCSD deputies because of budget and we subsidize developers. Also, if Director Johnson "discovered" the funding shortfall and absence of a budget in the Head Start program, as Comm. Hartman says in the Courier article this week, then what did the county learn from that audit report they received in 2006? Did the commissioners even read the report? Why does it take activist citizens to blow the whistle on them? Why would they even tell us of that nonsense? Is it time for reform candidates? |
